A simple formula for Bose-Einstein corrections
In analogy with the quantum field theory of free bosons a simple integral representation is derived for recently proposed corrections describing the Bose Einstein effect. The saddle point approximation to these integrals results in a compact expression which sums effectively the original n! terms with an accuracy better than 2% for n > 7 strongly correlated bosons. متن کاملSolitons for nearly integrable bright spinor Bose-Einstein condensate
Using the explicit forms of eigenstates for linearized operator related to a matrix version of Nonlinear Schrödinger equation, soliton perturbation theory is developed for the $F=1$ bright spinor Bose-Einstein condensates. A small disturbance of the integrability condition can be considered as a small correction to the integrable equation. By choosing appropriate perturbation, the soli...
متن کاملCoulomb wave function corrections for n-particle Bose-Einstein correlations
The effect of multi-particle Coulomb final state interactions on higher-order intensity correlations is determined in general, based on a scattering wave function which is solution of the n-body Coulomb Schrödinger equation in (a large part of) the asymptotic region of n-body configuration space. In particular, we study Coulomb effects on the n-particle Bose-Einstein correlation functions of si...
متن کاملSimple method for excitation of a Bose-Einstein condensate
Soon after the first spectacular realizations of the BoseEinstein condensate ~BEC! in cooled and trapped atomic gases @1–3#, investigations of possible new effects involving the condensate appeared. The BEC allows us to study several typical quantum-mechanical phenomena on a macroscopic level—because the macroscopic sample of atoms is described by a single wave function. A standard example is t...
متن کاملSimple criterion for the occurrence of Bose-Einstein condensation
We examine the occurrence of Bose-Einstein condensation in both nonrelativistic and relativistic systems with no self-interactions in a general setting. A simple condition for the occurrence of Bose-Einstein condensation can be given if we adopt generalized ζ-functions to define the quantum theory. We show that the crucial feature governing Bose-Einstein condensation is the dimension q associat...
